Ajmer

Ajmer, situated in a green oasis wrapped in barren hills, has been a witness to an interesting past. The city was founded by Raja Ajai Pal Chauhan in the 7th century and continued to be a major centre of Chauhan power until 1193 when Prithviraj Chauhan lost it to Mohammed Ghauri. Since then, Ajmer has been home to many dynasties, which came and left- leaving a blend of Hinduism & Islam with a prestigious private school set up by the British!

At the backdrop of jagged pale blue hills, the serene waters of Ana Sagar lake witness the commotion of bustling city of Ajmer. Beautifully cuddled in the Aravalli hills of royal Rajasthan, Ajmer tours are most preferred by travelers who wish to have a glimpse of Rajasthan’s culture blended with traditions of Islam.  Regarded as one of the most sacred places by the followers of Islam, Ajmer is proud to shelter many exquisite architectural wonders that are a mirror to Mughal brilliance in building monuments.
